Home ➥ How You Can Help ➥ Volunteer Opportunities
At Child Saving Institute, we know you have countless volunteer opportunities and we’re delighted you’re considering giving your time and talent to help us in our mission to serve at-risk kids! We rely on dedicated volunteers to help us maintain our facility and provide quality programming for the kids we serve. We simply couldn’t do this work without the assistance of generous folks like you.
There’s much work to be done and here are some of the important ways you can help:
It’s not glamorous, but it is SO appreciated. We need office volunteers to assist with big mailings (stuffing, addressing, etc.), filing, and other general office work.
If you’re not afraid to get your hands a little dirty, grab a spade and dig in! We need outdoor volunteers to assist with weeding and planting our beautiful nature explore playground and other flowering beds around our campus. Don’t have a green thumb? How about an orange one? We also need assistance cleaning and striping our parking lots and other odd jobs.
To volunteer as an office or outdoor volunteer, please leave a message on our Volunteer Line, 402-504-3651, and a staff member will get back to you as soon as possible.
Volunteers who work with children and youth in Child Saving Institute’s care must be at least 19 and receive training to prepare for different volunteer positions. This includes our much-valued Parent Education Partners who provide childcare on Wednesday and Thursday evenings so parents can participate in parenting classes and engage in Foster Parent Networking. To volunteer in our programs, please contact Nathan Meyer, firstname.lastname@example.org.
