Meet Our Leadership Team
Peg Harriott
Peg Harriott serves as President and CEO and oversees the agency’s administration, programming and services, financing, and fundraising. Harriott, who served in leadership positions at Uta Halee from 1978 to 1999 and as the Executive Director of Omaha’s YWCA from 1999 - 2008, brings a wealth of experience working with children, youth and families in crisis as well as nonprofit management.
Ms. Harriott has a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received the UNO College of Business Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 2005. An Omaha Benson High School Graduate, she was inducted into the Benson Hall of Fame in April 2008.

Lisa Blunt
Lisa Blunt joined CSI in 1998 and has served in a variety of positions including Therapy and Support Director and Director of Child Welfare Services. She was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer in October 2010. The COO oversees the agency’s programs and services.
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Master’s of Science in Community Counseling. Prior to joining CSI, she worked in private practice, specializing in the treatment of children and families with a focus on early childhood and attachment issues. She also served for six years on the staff of Uta Halee/Cooper Village.
Asked her goals for her position, Lisa noted, “I want CSI to continue to be known as a leader in the child welfare community, and that means our services have to continue to grow and change with emerging research and community needs.”

Susan Baumert
Sue Baumert began working as Chief Financial Officer for CSI in July 2005. She grew up in Lincoln and North Platte and attended the University of Nebraska where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Sue began her professional career at Kennedy and Coe, CPA's in Goodland, Kansas. After four years she moved to Omaha and worked at the University of Nebraska Omaha for 14 years, the first six in internal audit and the last eight as the Director of Business for Athletics. Sue is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, the Nebraska Society of Public Accountants and the American Society of Women Accountants.

Wanda Gottschalk
Wanda Gottschalk joined Child Saving Institute (CSI) in November 1995 as the Chief Development Officer. She has served as a CSI Board member and is a charter member of the CSI Guild.
Wanda previously served as the Omaha Public Library Foundation Executive Director and she served as the grant writer for Children's Square in Council Bluffs, Iowa. During her tenure at CSI, Wanda has led the agency through two successful capital campaigns and completed the largest campaign in CSI's history. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota.

Tammy Scott
Tammy joined CSI in 1995 and has served the agency in various capacities including working with children and families involved in the child welfare system. Tammy also served as the Placement and Permanency Coordinator for six years prior to being promoted in December of 2009 to her current position, Director of Prevention Services.
Tammy graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and obtained her Masters in Human Services from Bellevue University. Tammy brings experience working with families that want to expand their families through adoption, children and families in crisis, and education to young parents. She also is proficient in sign language and provided interpreting services to deaf children mainstreamed into public schools prior to joining CSI in 1995.

Dalhia Lloyd
Dalhia Lloyd joined CSI as the Director of Early Childhood Education in 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science. Prior to Child Saving Institute, Dalhia was with CEDARS Youth Services from 2001-2009, where she was the Program Manager of the Early Childhood Development Center and the Community Center.

Luke Cerveny
Luke joined CSI in October 2010 as a supervisor for the emergency shelter before being promoted to Director of Residential Services in March of 2012. Prior to Child Saving Institute, Luke worked at Uta Halee/Cooper Village for 4 years where he supervised male and female residential treatment programs. Luke is a graduate of Simpson College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Administration and Management.

Jana Habrock
Jana joined Child Saving Institute in 1993 and has served in various roles in the Early Childhood Education Program. Jana served as the Coordinator of Early Childhood Education for seven years prior to being promoted in February of 2012 to her current position, Director of Early Childhood Mental Health Services.
Jana graduated with a Bachelors in Family Studies from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and obtained her Masters Certificate in Infant Toddler Mental Health from Portland State University. She served on the Omaha Association for the Education of Young Children’s Board of Directors from 2006-2010. Jana is passionately committed to helping our community’s children develop their social/emotional skills to their fullest potential in order to prepare them for all that school—and life—has to offer.

Heather Gerlach
Heather joined CSI in 2000 and currently serves as the Director of Human Resources. She facilitates all Human Resources functions of the agency including Human Resources administration, employment, performance management and benefits, as well as oversees the volunteer and training functions. She also serves as a Safety Officer for the agency.
Heather received a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from the Krannert Graduate School of Management, and a Masters Degree in School Psychology and a School Psychology Certificate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is a member of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands Personnel Committee and is a member of the Human Resources Association of the Midlands.

Lana Verbrigghe
Lana Verbrigghe joined Child Saving Institute in 2011 and serves as the Director of Child Welfare Services. Prior to her position at CSI, Lana worked for eight years for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services under the division of Children and Family Services. Lana brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the area of child welfare.
Lana is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Children and Family Services; she obtained her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Lana serves as an officer in her neighborhood association and keeps involved in community events.

Tammy Grossman
Tammy is the Executive Administrative Assistant and Facilities Supervisor. She has been with CSI since 2000 as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President and CEO and has over 25 years of experience in an administrative assistant role. In 2008 she assumed the additional responsibility for all of CSI’s facilities, properties and vehicles as the Facilities Supervisor. Tammy strives to maintain CSI’s assets in the best condition possible while still being cost efficient.
